Sport enthusiasts take up the Wagendrift Challenge

With high spirits, a warm breeze and cold waters, the participants shifted a gear and the competition was intense.

The Wagendrift Challenge was made up of three categories – a biathlon consisting of a 1km swim and a 5km run (solo or teams of two); the triathlon, which had participants competing in a 1km swim, 5km run and then the 10km MTB ride.

There was also a 20km MTB ride and 20km trail run. Organisers, the Estcourt Round Table 74 hailed the day a success, saying that they received positive feedback. A word of thanks goes to the sponsors and helpers.
