February 10 – The Amajuba Tent Pegging Club will host a Tent Pegging Competition at the Newcastle Showgrounds.
The competition will see 15 clubs from four Provinces competing in honour of John Coetzee who had been participating in tent pegging since 1957.
Coetzee represented South Africa across the globe and at the ripe age of 82 still promotes the sport internationally.
The day’s events will start at 7.30am with a parade of around 60 horses.
