Best pair in the KZN bowling district
The Club would like to wish its senior players well and safe travels as they travel to Newcastle this weekend to compete in the Senior Fours competition.
Local bowlers, Rita Meyer and Taryn Bierbaum, travelled to Empangeni last Friday to compete in the KZNCB Pairs Playoffs on April 6 -7.
Thankfully the weather proved the weatherman wrong with no rain falling compared to what was predicted. Five games were played, three on the Saturday and two on the Sunday in a round robin format. Rita and Taryn had the most amazing bowling weekend, managing to win all five of their games as well as picking up eight shots in the game against the Piet Retief ladies.
Rita and Taryn won the competition on 10 points +74 and in so doing secured themselves the trophy and the title of KZNCB Ladies Pairs Champs. Congratulations to the two ladies, you certainly have made Dundee Bowling Club and the Northern Zone incredibly proud!
Senior Fours

The next business league will be the Round Table Winter Knights campaign which will start on Thursday, May 2. This is a wonderful initiative where the needy in our town are supported so make sure you’re part of this great cause.
