Golfers do battle over the Easter weekend

The Club was pleased to host Louis Albertse Jnr on the course - Louis, who recently turned professional, has been hard at work playing in the very competitive Sunshine Circuit.

The annual Easter Battlefields Golf Tournament proved again to be a winner with over 128 players taking to the course over the three days.
The success of the weekend was only made possible thanks to the generous sponsorship of Louis Albertse, Jeff Shar and Richard Catlett.
There were just too many great prizes over the three days to mention each one individually.
Top prizes for players with the most cumulative points over the three days went to Henk Booysen on 112 closely followed by Louis Albertse jnr. on 111 points. Great golf guys. The Club was pleased to host Louis Albertse Jnr on the course – Louis, who recently turned professional, has been hard at work playing in the very competitive Sunshine Circuit.
“It is a really different ball game and one that requires a lot of focus. The people you are up against are very good and you have to ensure that you maintain your standard at all time. You cannot let anything slip for a minute,” Louis told the Courier. His next tournament on the circuit is in Swaziland for which he will have to pre-qualify. The Club wishes him all the best as he continues to fly Dundee’s flag high.
