Golfers take a swing to raise funds
Bring out the clubs and enter the club-sponsored better-ball competition today
Weekend golf started off with the weekly Friday Pick ‘n Pay competition. Winner with a six-hole score of 14 Stableford points was Deejay Ramdhav.
On Saturday, 11 teams competed in the first annual MTN Golf Day. The competition was played as a Four-Ball Split Alliance.
R1720 was raised via a chipping competition, which will be donated to Shepstone Place Home for the Aged.
Winner of the chipping contest was Sam Sewsunker, who won himself a watch. Sam also won a Smart Phone in the lucky draw.

Winning on an alliance score of 89 points were L Schiever, J Smythe, A Brown and T Schiever.
Closest to the pin at number three was S Sibiya, while Molefe was closest at number seven, A Brown at number 12 and O Macluckie at number 16.
This week, golf starts with a club-sponsored better-ball competition on Wednesday.
Friday is the Pick ‘n Pay six-hole competition and concluding the weekend is the Skaapdag on Saturday, sponsored by Richard Naidoo and Dave Diedrick.
