Sarel Cilliers School hosted its first golf day on Saturday.
It was the ‘young and old’ pairing of Hamish Grierson and Aaron Mbatha who took the honours, on a good 47 points. They won on count-out from Jaco Kriel and Pieter Pypers, with Willie Maritz and Danie van Molendorff third on 46 points after a count-out. Gert Roos won the longest drive prize, with S McHattie claiming the nearest to the pin prize on Hole 4 and Marc Bradbury nearest to the pin on Hole 12.
Blessing Chiwaya won last Wednesday’s Dave’s Competition with 21 points. This competition will be played over 11 holes on Wednesday, in the form of an IPS. The Chicken Run will be played on Friday over 10 holes, in the form of an IPS. The course is still in a good condition, so take the opportunity to play.
The June Monthly Mug will be played on June 1, in the form of an Individual Medal competition. Please note that following a new ruling, you may place in the Monthly Mug competition.
The Northern KZN Girls Hockey team will host its annual sponsored day in Dundee on June 8. The competition will be played in the four ball better ball stableford format and entrance is R80 per golfer.
