Willie and Sheryl through to district bowls play-offs
A huge congratulations to Willie and Sheryl on winning the day - they will represent Dundee Bowling Club at the Pro 10 District Play-offs in Mtunzini next month.
For the first time in a number of years, Dundee Bowling Club hosted a Pro 10 competition on Saturday.
A total of 12 teams entered, with the format being 2 bowl pairs over 10 ends. At the end of sectional play, it was the pairing of Greg Conolly and Jo-Ann Melville, and Willie Nel and Sheryl Hesom, who found themselves in the final.
Greg and Jo-Ann had to beat Willie and Sheryl by 16 points to take the title – unfortunately, they could only win the final by 8 points. A huge congratulations to Willie and Sheryl on winning the day. They will represent Dundee Bowling Club at the Pro 10 District Play-offs in Mtunzini, on July 13/14.
This coming weekend is The Biltongfees at Battlefields Country Lodge. Please support the hamburger stall, which will be run by the bowling club and the Dundee/Glencoe Methodist Church.
