It wasn't a happy result for SAPS facing Happy Stars, with the police conceding 8 goals and scoring 0, including a goal by the Stars keeper.

Hattingspruit SAPS makes a spirited goal attempt.

Soccer took centre stage at Hattingspruit on Monday, when Hattingspruit SAPS hosted a Sports Against Crime event.

Happy Stars (maroon and red) peppered the police by 8 goals to 0.

The police put together a team as well, which was a game competitor despite being thoroughly outclassed. It wasn’t a happy result for SAPS facing Happy Stars, with the police conceding 8 goals and scoring 0. Happy Stars ran riot and for much of the second half, their keeper played as a striker.

The Happy Stars keeper played up front and even scored a goal.

The police team did register a few shots on target, but could not find the back of the net. Happy Stars went on to be crowned eventual winners on the day.

The SAPS team (green) could not keep up with the Happy Stars players.
