Bertie and Abrie clinch golf day victory

The Overdale Farm Sponsored Golf Day attracted a field of 34 players on Saturday. The club thanks Lionel Shaw for his generous sponsorship.
The better-ball pairing of Bertie Venter and Abrie Pretorius took home the meaty first prize, with 44 points. Richard Catlett and Brian du Toit finished 2nd, followed by Aaron Mbatha and Lionel Shaw. Dolly Bradbury and Naomi van Huysteen were 4th.
Prizes for being nearest the pins went to D Catlett on the 8th, A Pretorius on the 12th and R Catlett on the 4th.
Players are reminded to support Dave’s Wednesday Competition on July 3. The club will host the Monthly Mug competition on Saturday, and players are invited to compete. The Durban July Handicap will be screened after the golf.
