SANDF football championship comes to Ladysmith
The championship caters for primary and high school learners, both boys and girls, in all 9 provinces
The annual SANDF Football Championship was brought to Ladysmith this year and was played recently at the 5SAI sports grounds. Squads from schools all around the country went head to head in hotly contested matches.
Ladysmith High School (LHS) and Aloe Park Primary School were among the local schools that participated. According to SANDF Football Association deputy president Mr Sebegelwe, this is one of the annual events the SANDF hosts to give back to the community.

The championship caters for primary and high school learners, both boys and girls, in all nine provinces.
“It is always exciting to have events like this, because it promotes physical training for upcoming soldiers,” added Mr Sebegelwe.
The field was full of action throughout the week, with goals aplenty as football fanatics converged to show off their skills and take their team to ultimate victory in the championship.
