Mike Fokoroni wins inaugural Prince Mangosuthu Ultra Marathon
The race started an hour later than the advertised time of 5.30am
Zimbabwean Mike Fokoroni clinched the inaugural Prince Mangoshuth Ultra Marathon of 52km from Nquthu to the Kallies Stadium this morning.
The Comrades, Two Oceans and Olympian was in top form and said he used the race to ‘check on my speed’ as he had not been happy with his performance at the Comrades Marathon.
There is a big turn out for the race which started over an hour late. There were various other events including a 1okm race and 5km fun walk.
