BB extends its lead in bowls business league
The club would like to wish Greg, Rita and Taryn safe travels and good bowling this coming weekend.
Fedauto Business League: It was all systems go for the Fedauto Business League this past Thursday evening, as the third round finally got underway after the break forced upon play by Eskom.
BB Transport has extended its lead, with the Vasbyters having to win its final game by quite a large margin to stand any chance of winning the league. The leader board after six games is as follows: BB Transport (12 +45), Vasbyters (10 +22), J&B+2 (8 +28) and Langfontein (8 +17).
Remember that the final game of the league will be played this coming Thursday evening. No food will be on sale, however braai fires will be available so bring along your basket, friends and family and enjoy an evening out!
The Novice Singles had to be postponed to October 10 and 11, due to a number of players being unavailable to play this past weekend.
U-15 and u-20: The under-15s and u-20s met in Newcastle this past Saturday, to attend their last practice together before travelling to Bloemfontein on March 23, to compete in the Bowls South Africa u-15 and u-20 Inter District Championships.
A very enjoyable practice was had by all, which involved skills training and a few practice games.
There was great excitement at the end of the day, as coaches and managers, Dougie, Essie, Samantha and Stephen presented the youngsters with their district kit and their going-away kit.
The managers extended their gratitude to the many generous sponsors, who have contributed in making it possible to take the children to Bloemfontein: “You know who you are.”
Inter Districts 2020: The club would like to wish its members, Greg, Rita and Taryn safe travels and good bowling as they leave Dundee this coming weekend, to join up with their district teams to compete in the Bowls South Africa Inter District Competition. Keep the Dundee flag flying high!
