Ichthus hockey and netball stars shine at trials

On April 7, the u/12 and u/13 boys and girls from Ichthus took part in the annual Endumeni Hockey trials at the Dundee Oval.
Five learners, namely, Hayden Caldecott (u/12), Azande Botha (u/12), Bianca Meintjes (u/13), Nothile Mgabhi (u/13) and Ntumiseng Motloung (u/13) made it through to the first round. On April 8, the learners played their hearts out to secure their places in the Umzinyathi hockey teams. The school congratulates Hayden Caldecott (u/12), Azande Botha (u/12 – non travelling reserve), Bianca Meintjes (u/13), Nothile Mgabhi (u/13) and Ntumiseng Motloung (u/13 – non travelling reserve) who were selected for the Umzinyathi hockey teams!

The learners are absolutely delighted to be part of the teams and they look forward to the Inter District Tournament in Pietermaritzburg!
Netball Trials
On April 14 Ichthus sent their eager u/12 and u/13 Netball girls to Dundee Junior School to participate in the Endumeni Netball trials. Three of the learners namely, Nsikelelo Majola (u/12), Nothile Mgabhi (u/13) and Ntumiseng Motloung (u/13) made it through to the first round.

At the Umzinyathi Trials on April 15, Nsikelelo Majola (u/12) Nothile Mgabhi (u/13) and Ntumiseng Motloung (u/13) secured their places in the Umzinyathi Netball teams. These three girls are excited to take part in the next round which will be held in Durban on May 6-7.
