Great excitement as Build-It under 13 soccer and netball tournament gets underway

A chance to see some top class sporting action at the Oval today

Dundee is used to street activity these days… but this morning, it wasthe children who took to the streets in a parade from Build It on Gladstone Street to the Oval. The occasion was the Build It under 13 soccer and netball tournament that kicked off this morning.

Ten local soccer teams are competing on two fields and four local primary schools are battling it out on the netball court.

AmaZulu FC’s reserves will play a friendly against an Endumeni Invitation XI from around 1.30pm this afternoon prior to the final of the under 13 soccer competition. Get to the Oval to see some promising young sporting talent.

Simpiwe Ndima, centre, was the lucky winner of the gas heater in the Courier/Build It online competition. Other winners included Mrs Bux, Shawn Caldecott, Douglas Johnstone, R Hargoven and Chris Hunt who all won watches. Those whose names were published online as finalists but who were not at the Oval must please to go to Build It in the week and report to Kegan Speirs who will present the winners with their watches!
