Load shedding – It must be tariff increase time

Call us sceptical, but why is it that at this time of year, when municipalities are formulating their tariffs for the following financial year, when Eskom is about to announce how much it is going to charge the municipalies in the coming year, why is it that we have a electricity supply crisis? Wet coal? Come on, are you serious? In our view, the crisis is a smokescreen. It’s so we, the gullable public, the end user, accept tariff increases and accept them as understandable. This crisis is just preparation for another well-above-inflation increase from Eskom which will be passed on to the end user – us. That’s what we think.
