Side splitting comedy show to hit Newcastle

With the elections set for May 7, politicians are geared up and preparing for the big day.

Taking full advantage of the upcoming elections, Aldrin Naidu’s ‘X se! You ain’t seen nuthin yet’, Is set to take place at Blackrock Casino on Saturday, April 5.

Choreographed by Hindvani’s Ishara Desai and scored by Avish Ramkissoon, the performance features a crazy cast spreading pre-election fever.

The star of the show is the wig of politician Amichand Rajbansi, whose character makes a comeback from beyond.

The Bengal Tiger plays a pivotal role in the drama. In a dream, he passes on the baton of Minority Front(ed) politics to the follicle-challenged EFF’s Julius Malema.

Apart from the crazy antics in and out of parliament with Malema, Zuma, Zille, Newcastle’s Mayor, Afzul Rehman, and occasional poor service delivery in Newcastle, the show features the sitcom Pacha Chutney.

It is about the days of our lives in the bold and not always beautiful happenings in the Chatsworth Maharaj/Naidoo home as they navigate their political wilderness.

“Nani Maharaj, cousin to Mac, rules the roost. She’s old, uncold and no one dares to shut her up. Some say her walking stick hides an AK-47. The Zuma-loving, motor mouth has to battle with her Unit 2 son-in-law, George, who supports Tiger politics and her simple daughter, Chandini, who hangs her colours out in blue (DA),” said producer of the show, Vanessa Kistan.

“One day when the EFF Red Berets come knocking on the door, things are bound to change. Do the Chatsworthians flee crime to Australia or stay, vote and fight on for a free and fair society?”

Ms Kistan said the song and dance affair captured the promise of our new democracy and encouraged all to head to the polls on May 7.

“The times are depressing. We all need to laugh heartily,” she said of the Bollywood-inspired show directed by Mandrax Muniamma actor, Sershen Naidoo.
