Vulintaba National Hot Air Balloon Championship

The Vulintaba National Hot Air Balloon Championship is set to soar in Newcastle from May 8 to 11.

Newcastillians can look forward to colourful balloons taking to the skies every day, while the pilots will try their utmost to win the coveted title of ‘the best Hot Air Balloon Pilot’ in South Africa.

Vulintaba Country Estate took the opportunity to be the title sponsor of this event. The community will be invited to visit Vulintaba on the Friday morning and Saturday afternoon of the championship to experience ballooning at its best.

Hot air balloon trips will also be available to the community. Any interested members of the public who would like to fly in a hot air balloon can send an email to info@champ.co.za. The cost per person will be confirmed.
