Die Lekker Resies set to entertain the whole family
“There are loads of exciting challenges waiting for the teams who have entered Die Lekker Resies,” said Barbara Elliot, President of the Lions Club. With almost 25 teams entered already, this year promises to be bigger and better.
On Saturday, April 12, the Lions Club in conjunction with the Rapportryers, will host the second Lekker Resies at Majuba Lodge arena.
“There are loads of exciting challenges waiting for the teams who have entered Die Lekker Resies,” said Barbara Elliot, President of the Lions Club. With almost 25 teams entered already, this year promises to be bigger and better.
Other than Die Lekker Resies itself, there will be loads of fun for the whole family. The Fun Mountain Bike Race is set to start at 9am, at a cost of R40 per adult and R20 for children, which will also allow them access for the whole day.
“The route is from Majuba Lodge to Zebra Lodge on the D96 and back,’ said Ms Elliot. “There will be R1 000 up for grabs for the school with the most entries and prizes for the family with the most spirit and more.”
Along with Die Campbells, Dusty Dixon will also be performing, a big name on the Afrikaans music scene, while the crack potjie chefs will battle it out over the hot coals.
“Don’t forget the Kiddies Area, which will have lots of fun entertainment for children,” said Ms Elliot.
