A family from Umhlumayo, a few kilometres from Ladysmith, have been given the opportunity of a lifetime to appear in the soap opera, and will be filmed along with the actors.

A film crew and actors from popular local soapie ‘Scandal’ landed in Ladysmith late yesterday (Wednesday) for a two-day video shoot in the surrounding areas.

A family from Umhlumayo, a few kilometres from Ladysmith, have been given the opportunity of a lifetime to appear in the soap opera, and will be filmed along with the actors.

The scene in which the family appears will hit television screens soon, so be sure to be in front of your TV every evening at 7.30pm on ETV.

Leading actor Quinton Majola’s character recently found out that his father was living in KZN and had passed away. He goes to Ladysmith for the funeral, hence the filming of a scene in the area.

The crew and actors will be in town until tomorrow, when they will continue filming in Umhlumayo before returning to Johannesburg to edit the footage.
