Local beauty takes to the top
Out of 20 finalists, the young beauty is an ambassador for change and is planning to make waves with her love for the community.
Home grown beauty, Sanelisiwe Mthethwa is a finalist in the Miss Commonwealth South Africa 2014.
The 20-year-old student from the University of Zululand has brains, beauty and passion, which is why she has made it this far.
Out of 20 finalists, the young beauty is an ambassador for change and is planning to make waves with her love for the community.
Finalists of Miss Commonwealth South Africa are expected to help and assist communities in need.
Sanelisiwe has only success on her mind and with her can-do spirit, she is planning on achieving exactly that.
The humble finalist has given her all and it has most certainly paid off.
Being a finalist is not all about beauty, but about helping and exceeding your own expectations. “I can not do it alone,” Sanelisiwe said. “I need the community to help me achieve my dream.”
As a finalist, Sanelisiwe has to raise R7 000 or more for her chosen charity. “I chose Imaging HIV Ministry. This is a home for orphans who lost their parents because of the HIV pandemic,” she said.
“I need help in raising funds. I need to get a sponsorship to help me get the necessary funds and in return the sponsor will benefit with marketing opportunities during the pageant,” she said humbly.
Sanelisiwe has found all of her inspiration from her late mother. “My mother was always into modelling and beauty pageants. This is my way of making her proud,” she said.
