The Twitter/Facebook equivalent in China known as ‘Weibo’ was recently flooded with young girls submitting their best ‘armpit selfies’. 
What is an armpit selfie you ask? An armpit selfie is a selfie where women showcase their unshaven armpit hair. Yes, you probably cringe at the thought of showing off what most women find incredibly embarrassing, but somehow it has become a serious trend. 
The hairy-pitted Weibo page has already had 28.5 million views. Despite the deadline for submission being July 22, women have heeded the call to unite against men who freely flaunt their fluff on social media. 
You may look at it from the perspective of women who aren’t afraid to show the world how ‘naturally beautiful’ they really are, or you can look at it from the point of view that some things are just better left ‘unshared’. Either way, some say it’s great to see women come together for a hair-raising cause.
