Top Ten Reasons – To Leave Your Partner

But honestly, the only time to use any one of these reasons is if you never really loved the person you are with in the first place

It’s always tough starting out in a new relationship, and even worse keeping an old one alive and healthy. Most people want to be happy, but they always seem to have excuses as to why staying in a relationship right now is just not right.

So, if you are in a budding new relationship with that sexy young thing or rippling hunk, guess what they’re thinking about right now?

These are the Top Ten Reasons they will use to justify dumping you!

1. You don’t really love them.

Ah, who can argue with this one? They do not need any proof, just a feeling that all is not well. They do not need to justify it because, in their hearts, it’s true – because they feel it!

2. You’re having to try too hard to convince yourself that you love them.

Now, before you say one and two are the same, let us explain. This is “them” not “you”. They just do not feel the same way you do. It is so hard to be with you… (insert blame here)

3. You’re not attractive enough for them.

Surprisingly, this is the easiest one for the person about to dump you to sell to themselves as a valid reason. You were attractive enough to date, but now, well, they have seen someone else and they need to move on. Both the young and very old use this one a lot.

4. If you really loved them, you wouldn’t have to work this hard.

Yes, most young men and women think love should be easy, so when things like pesky parents and kids get involved, then it’s time to bail.

5. There’s just not enough sexual interest.

Yeah, the old “we don’t do it enough” or “we do it too much” excuse. More importantly, the “it’s not you but me” line can be dropped here with ease. This could be used to mask many other reasons for dumping someone.

6. Other people are not so clingy.

Obviously, nobody wants to be dating that needy person, you know the one. They need flowers once a month or at least a phone call every day.

7. You feel you are like your parents.

The “we are not married yet, but we act like we are, so let’s end it now”. Yes, a real reason given by many splitting couples.

8. There was more chemistry with your ex.

Talk about the total burn excuse. Not to be confused with “the grass is always greener”… This normally means you were a rebound relationship.

9. Love cannot last forever, folks.

Yes, there are people out there who expect that ‘first time we kissed’ feeling every bloody day…

10. And lastly, the best reason of all – the grass is always greener on the other side.

These are the people who will never really be in a relationship and will regard everyone they are currently with as a stepping stone to that all-elusive perfect one!

So, what have we learned?

There are literally hundreds of ways to give up on a relationship. There are hundreds of reasons to give why both of you should move on. But honestly, the only time to use any one of these reasons is if you never really loved the person you are with in the first place!
