Nyusi music festival turns up the volume
Dancing, merrymaking and socialising was the order of the day, as music lovers partied into the night

The ‘Nyusi Volume 14’ music festival had everyone rocking on Saturday at the Indoor Sports Complex. The event saw crowds streaming in as early as 10am, with music lovers enjoying a full day of top-class entertainment. Residents of Ladysmith, as well as from surrounding areas, were seen making their way through town in large groups (especially in the afternoon), both on foot and in taxis, to get out to the festival and have a good time.
The atmosphere at the Indoor Sports Complex was ‘buzzing’ as the music started and everyone got their groove on, dancing and cheering madly as entertainer after entertainer took the stage. Performers that included local artists Shakes and Singil, Tzozo and Casper Nyovest had the crowds squealing in delight. Ukhozi FM DJs Sgqemeza, Mngadi and Khetha Gwala were also in attendance, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. Dancing, merrymaking and socialising was the order of the day, as music lovers partied into the night until the early hours of the next morning.
As one of Ladysmith’s most anticipated annual events, Nyusi Volume 14 certainly turned up the volume. A few unpleasant incidents could not detract from the overall success of the event.
