Finding sweet love by chance

A chance meeting at a 16th birthday party in Dundee, led Sachin Dheena and Nogashini Naidoo to a life filled with love.
Proposal
After their meeting, Nogashini, more commonly known as Ronel, and Sachin nurtured their relationship for eight years before Sachin proposed.
“He proposed to me at Hartebeespoort Dam, on the dam wall,” Ronel said.
Wedding preparations
After Sachin and Ronel’s engagement, the couple began their wedding planning; a feat that was not as simple as hoped.
“It was hectic, because we were far from home and couldn’t see everything that was going on. We would like to thank our families and friends, who supported us, because without them this wouldn’t have been possible,” Ronel emphasised.

The wedding cards sent to guests were red, silver and white with glitter and featuring a Ganesha.
Wedding
On 28 December 2014, Ronel and Sachin tied the knot at the Dannhauser Temple Hall in front of 600 people.
The colour scheme of the day was maroon, white, silver and gold.
For their special day, Sachin wore a silk maroon and gold embroided sherwani, while Ronel wore a maroon and gold silk sari embellished with Swarovski crystals.
Wedding ring
Sachin got a comfy fit wedding band and Ronel now wears a gold, cluster diamond ring.
Food
Vegetarian breyani, and soji topped with fresh cream and almonds.
Guest souvenirs
Silver and red baskets with chocolate and a card reading: “Thank you for sharing this special day with us.”
Honeymoon
After tying the knot, the couple dashed off to Bela Bela for their honeymoon.
Settling down
The couple settled in Pretoria West to start their new lives together.
Sachin’s message to Ronel
Sachin claimed he felt it in his heart that Ronel was the one for him.
“I will love you until the sun starts to rise in the west. I will beyour pillar whenever you need me to be. I’ll try my best to be the best husband any woman could can ask for and I’ll encourage you to do whatever your heart desires and support you when you need me.”

The day Sachin proposed to Ronel, she claimed a feeling touched her heart in an inexplicable way and that emotion would always live in her heart.
