Relay on Mandela Day
The entrance fee for each team (R670) will be donated to the 2015 Toys for Joy campaign
The Ladysmith Gazette will be hosting a Mandela Relay on Mandela Day (Saturday, July 18). The event will take place at the Ladysmith High School (LHS) rugby field, starting at 9am.
Only 15 teams can enter, with six people in each team. Each individual will walk for 67 minutes on the day.
The entrance fee for each team (R670) will be donated to the 2015 Toys for Joy campaign. Individuals are also invited to take part at the price of R67 per person and they will walk for 67 minutes.
Prizes will be awarded for ‘Best Dressed Team’, ‘Team with the Most Spirit’ and ‘First Team Back Home’.
There will also be loads of entertainment, jumping castles and music. Food and beverages will be available.
