South Africa’s latest millionaire was recently crowned in the nail-biting grand finale of Tsogo Sun’s Slots Factor tournament.

The event took place at popular gaming destination, Suncoast Casino in Durban.
Rajendheran Naidoo, who represented Montecasino, walked away the victor, raking in a whopping R1.1-million. Rosa van der Merwe was the runner up and took home R200 000. In third place was Rochelle Higgs from the Eastern Cape. Rochelle scooped the R100 000 cash prize in addition to the R30 000 she was awarded for sixth place.
The following contestants were in the top ten:
– Donavin Nel: Fourth- R75 000.
– Johannes Botha: Fifth – R50 000.
– Anneke Janse van Rensburg: Seventh – R25 000.
– Silindeni Mpala: Ninth – R10 000.
The eighth place and tenth place winners won R20 000 and R6 900 respectively.
As the first place winner at Blackrock, Faizel Cassim, won R20 000 in cash. Sibusiso Sibisi and Dudu Zondi, who won R7500 and R5000 respectively, joined Mr Cassim in the finals.
A total of over R3-million in cash and FreePlay was paid out over the course of the exciting eight-week tournament.
Tsogo Sun’s Director of Gaming, Steve Hight congratulated the top 10 prize winners.
“We’re delighted at the enthusiastic response by the public to this action-packed tournament, which has seen players coming back again and again at all of our 14 casinos since it launched on July 20.”
The buy-in price for the Slots Factor tournament was only R100 cash. This made it accessible to everyone and entitled the participant to one entry to the tournament.
“Every cent of the buy-ins across the 14 casinos contributed to the final prize money. The total prize money was over R600 000, higher than originally anticipated, giving every one of the top 10 prizes a hearty boost,” concluded Mr Hight.
