Final accolades for Amajuba School
There is no university to learn about life. This message came through loud and clear, at the Amajuba School end-year prize-giving at the beginning of December.
There is no university to learn about life.
This message came through loud and clear, at the Amajuba School end-year prize-giving at the beginning of December.
Guest speaker was successful local, Khetho Ndaba.
Qualified in Conference, Exhibit and Event Management, Ms Ndaba is a bubbly extrovert and a familiar face of the Vodacom Newcastle Winter Festival.
Her key-note talk was aimed at the young pupils of Amajuba School.
“We learn through experiences; our own experiences and those of others. We are fortunate to have people around us who love us.”
Calling on pupils to see teachers as guides, and not enemies, Ms Ndaba encouraged pupils to manage their time and visualise success.
She added the lessons of lower grades were vital to understanding later on.
Ms Ndaba concluded with a message of understanding and tolerance to the pupils, asking them to bring the concept of Ubuntu to life.
“Don’t bring others down and be a shoulder to cry on. Mean what you say and say what you mean.”
After entertainment items from, among others, the School Choir, the evening proceeded to the presentation of various sport, academic and cultural awards.
