Swim Studio enjoy their annual year end breakfast

The Aquacise groups then also had their annual year-end breakfast where gifts were exchanged and attendance badges awarded.

Have you ever played water volley ball while doing different exercises like frog- and suffer jumps? Lots of good healthy fun guaranteed!

As has become tradition, this is how the last Aquacise class of 2015 played out at the Swim Studio. The Aquacise groups then also had their annual year-end breakfast where gifts were exchanged and attendance badges awarded.

The longest standing client at the Swim Studio, Beulah van Niekerk, has been attending Aqua classes for 17 years, Jean Moffitt 15 years, Nettie Ferreira 14-and-a-half years and Jean van Helsdingen 13 years. As Beulah says: “ Aqua and Bible study keep me going.”

Aqua is too strenuous for the growing body of a child, therefore it is only for adults, but since everyone’s body creates its own resistance, people of different abilities can work together. At first a person may bob around with no effect. The important thing is to first learn to stabilise in water, since there is no gravity.

This is where core strength is practised that is so valuable to prevent falling on dry land. Only then one can start exercising from your own central point with a vast number of advantages: excellent blood circulation, healthy joints, bone growth to counteract osteoporosis, healthy heart and lungs, muscle growth and more, to name but a few.

Top athletes, like the whole American Olympic team representing different sports disciplines, use Aqua exercises to maintain fitness wisely, eliminating the chance of injury. This is for all adult men and women who are serious about their health for years to come.
