Getting to know bewitching beauty, Bernadette
Bernadette Buss recently came across the Face of the Globe 2016 pageant online, and immediately related to the cause behind all the glitz and glamour.
Bernadette Buss is the belle of the ball, and she’s living life to the fullest.
In between running a wellness clinic in Pretoria and raising her sons, Kaydn and Matthew, the 30-year-old is also competing on the international stage.
She recently came across the Face of the Globe 2016 pageant online, and immediately related to the cause behind all the glitz and glamour.
In sharing her personal message of hope, Bernadette was selected as one of finalists in the adult category.
“I am a health and fitness enthusiast, and started out entering a variety of fitness and bikini championships,” she explained. “The exposure built my confidence and created the ideal platform to enter Mrs South Africa 2015.”
Bernadette added she thoroughly enjoyed interacting with like-minded women during the course of Mrs South Africa, and was grateful to be selected as a semi-finalist.
How does Newcastle fit into the picture?
The starry-eyed beauty recently travelled to Newcastle to visit family and compete in the Battlefields Marathon.
“My husband, Grant is originally from Newcastle and we visit his family often during the year. We had an exciting and eventful weekend,” she said.
After completing the gruelling 42 kilometre race, Bernadette was ecstatic to hear she placed third overall in the women’s category.
“We strive to support local events and businesses,” she said. “We took a trip to the Schuinshoogte Monument to the share our heritage with finalists across the globe.”
Bernadette said she savoured every moment spent in Newcastle, and was overwhelmed by the support of local businesses.
“I enjoyed my time in town whilst shopping for my trip overseas,” she concluded.
