Total on Murchison Street hosted a safety campaign for women, where putting women first was their top priority, on Wednesday, April 27.

Total on Murchison Street hosted a safety campaign for women, where putting women first was their top priority, on Wednesday, April 27.

The event also served as a Mothers Day initiative to empower women, and teach them to be more independent when on the road.

The staff of Total showed women how to do basic vehicle maintenance such as how to check oil and water levels, tyre pressure, changing a tyre. women were also showed the proper procedures to follow in case of a vehicle accident, or being stranded next to the road.

Local car dealerships also attended the event and demonstrated the safety features on their vehicle’s, as well as how to use them in cases of emergencies.

Protection Services were there to provide safety regulations and advice on how to handle roadside emergencies.

ER24 also demonstrated how the ambulance services worked in the case of an accident, and taught guests ER24 emergency numbers. Along with safety demonstrations, staff handed out safety kits to guests, which consisted of, a torch and medical aid kits.

Dealer Head Principal, Moonewar Kader said she firmly believed woman should be independent and know basic vehicle safety tips.
