Rista is this year’s Miss Mayfair
Being runner-up last year Rista Van Rooyen, came back this year and gave it all she had, and her efforts did not go unnoticed as she was crowned Miss Mayfair 2016.
WITH glitz and glamour galore, this year’s Miss Mayfair beauty pageant held at Cecil Emmett on Saturday, left both judges and spectators awe-struck.
Being runner-up last year Rista Van Rooyen, came back this year and gave it all she had, and her efforts did not go unnoticed as she was crowned Miss Mayfair 2016, with Sphesihle Zwane and Sara-lee Groening as her first and second princess respectively.
Other results were:
Petite Miss Mayfair (3-5 years old) – Winner Kamryn Matthee, 1st Princess Zoe Wilson, 2nd Princess Ayabonga Mabaso.
Little Miss Mayfair (6-8 years old) – Winner Angela Stoltenkamp, 1st Princess Clarissa Scheepers, 2nd Princess Jodine Schoombee.
Junior Miss Mayfair (9-12 years old) – Winner Marjean van Zyl, 1st Princess Mawande Cebekhulu, 2nd Princess Zamacusi Sibeko.
Teen Miss Mayfair (13-15 years old) – Winner Megan de Beer, 1st Princess Thandolwethu Mbele, 2nd Princess Niekie Muller.
Congratulations to all the winners, and all the entrants, who kept the judges Estella Naicker, Regine Victor and Rochagne Killian on the edge of their seats.

Come along and enjoy all the fun of the Vryheid Lions Mayfair week, taking place this coming Friday and Saturday at the Cecil Emmett Grounds. School-children get in for R10, R20 for adults. Children under 10 years and pensioners get in for free.
