Friday the 13th brings full moon

Not only is it Friday 13th, but it's also full moon - the last time this happened was on October 13, 2000

For all those horror fans out there, tonight is the perfect occasion to watch all those ‘Friday the 13th’ movies with boogeyman Jason Voorhees stalking through the woods at Camp Crystal Lake (otherwise known as Camp Blood).

Today, of course, is Friday the 13th and if the date is not enough to give you the creeps, there will also be a full moon tonight.

Freaky Fact: The last time we had a full moon on Friday the 13th was in the year 2000 (October 13, 2000) and it won’t happen again for the next 35 years!

As Vox noted, “The odds of a year having a Friday the 13th full moon are just 5.81 per cent. That means it happens, on average, every 20 years or so.”

So, if you are brave enough to stay awake until 12.11am, you will be able to see the ghostly Friday the 13th moon at its fullest! Now everyone can let out their best werewolf howl – let’s hear it!!!
