GALLERY: Impressive Mother’s Day high tea at Siyaphumula

Organisers, Zandi Mkhize, Nosipho Vukeka and Zandile Mkhulise, went out of their way to make the day special for each of their 80 guests

The ZNZee Club hosted a Mother’s Day high tea at Siyaphumula Bed and Breakfast last Saturday.

Organisers, Zandi Mkhize, Nosipho Vukeka and Zandile Mkhulise, went out of their way to make the day special for each of their 80 guests, some of whom travelled from as far as Johannesburg, Ladysmith and Nquthu,

Motivational speakers to feed the soul, included Lady Bishop Dlomo from Greater Harvest Church International, who emphasised women’s value and their contribution to society and in the home.

Further inspirational contributions were presented by Mpume Hlophe and Mamello Qametsi Vilana.

The very talented Nomalungelo Gama entertained guests with a lovely rendition of solos, and surprised everyone when she asked her mother to join her in singing a duet.

Works of Iman Sokhela from Tapestry Accessories, Zandi Masondo from Za Vintage and Khanyi Ngcobo from Glambitious were on exhibition,

Books on empowerment were also available.

Guests could indulge in mini treatments such as pedicures, manicures, and back and neck massages, and received delectable goodie bags sponsored by supportive companies.

The event was covered by Lango Cele of Gagasi FM, and clips from the event were broadcast on May 8 and 9.

The event was very successful despite the icy weather, and the women flaunted their fashions with panache.

However, the event was not all about self-indulgence. Guests showed their compassionate side and donated disposable nappies to the children of Home Meah.

The organisers thanked every sponsor and contributor who made the day possible, and hope to celebrate Mother’s Day annually in style.
