If you are considering starting a unique collection of your own, maybe these five collectors will give you an idea of what to begin collecting.

Hobbies are nothing unusual, and neither is collecting items that capture your attention and reflect your passions in life.

However, what people do not realise is the dedication required to collect as many of your items as possible.

1. Daleks

Calling all Whovians, the Daleks have been sighted! Any Dr Who fan will know the Daleks are the bane of Dr Who’s existance and form an integral part of the series’ plot. Rob Hull from the United Kingdom collects Daleks and has 1 202 and counting. While Whovians would love to be in the presence of the collection, what is surprising is that Mr Hull is not a fun of the British series.

 

2. Toothbrushes

Oral hygiene is important, but Grigori Fleicher from Russia might have taken it a tad too far with a collection of 1 320 different toothbrushes.

 

3. Joker Cards

Batman beware; Tony De Santis, an Italian magician, is on the loose. Mr De Santis owns the largest collection of Joker playing cards which consists of 8 520 unique cards.

 

4. Pokémon Memorabilia

Not too long ago, the Pokémon Go cellphone application captivated Pokemon fans. But it seems the fasicination does not extend as far as Lisa Courtney’s obsession. Ms Courtney from the UK has the official record of 14 410 different Pokémon items as of 2010, but now has over 16,000.

 

5. Belly button fluff

Graham Baker started his unusual collection 1984 and has the largest collection of belly button fluff. While unusual, he has not harassed people for theirs, as he opted to collect his own.
