#FoodPornFriday: Valentine’s Day Dinner
We have come up with budget friendly recipes, for a five course meal that will tantalize your significant other’s taste buds.

Cupid is fluttering around spreading love all through the air this month. Valentine’s Day is only four sleeps away and if you didn’t get your beloved a gift, because costs of Christmas and New Year were way too high, then just cook for your better half. I mean, we all know the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.
We have come up with budget friendly recipes, for a five course meal that will tantalize your significant other’s taste buds.
Appetizer: Hearty Sandwiches
Sandwiches are always an easy, cheap treat. But they can be a little boring for a special dinner like Valentine’s Day, unless you make it a tad fancy. Whatever you decide to put in the sandwich; be it salad with cheese, or peanut butter and jam, or a ham, cheese and tomato, make sure you cut the bread into a heart shape.
Seafood course: Moroccan Style Mussels
Seafood is said to be an aphrodisiac, so this meal or any seafood meal of your choice should be on your menu for the night.
Entrée: Valentine Pizza
This classic delicacy will be the perfect amount of romantic and cheesy, if made into a heart shape. A home-made basic pizza base is inexpensive and easy to make, and by personalizing the pizza with your lover’s favourite topping, this delicious dish just had to make the Valentine’s dinner menu.
Main course: Marmalade Chicken
Although the ingredients for this dish can be a little pricy, the advantage is, you’re just cooking for two so you can only buy quantities you need, or find cheaper substitutes to fit your pocket.
Dessert: Strawberry, whipped cream and chocolate sauce waffle
This sensual combination of treats is simple to make, and may be where you’ll splurge the most money for the dinner. The good part though is if you don’t have a waffle maker you could always make pancakes with the same dough instead, or just devour the strawberries, cream and chocolate sauce in more creative ways.
And remember…throw some roses into an elegant vase, light up some scented candles, buy a huge bottle of wine, and softly play the golden oldies you two fell in love with…just to spark some romance for the special night.
