Festival of Chariots to take place in Ladysmith

Join in this celebration to receive the blessings of Lord Jagannath

Join the holy procession on March 25, and receive the blessings and mercy of the Lord.

God comes to this world to show us pure love. After all, He loves us unconditionally. He is the personification of the highest kind of love and He desires to awaken our love for Him.

When this love develops, it naturally conquers our enemies, connects us with our children, bridges the gap between nations, heals the wounds of abuse and treachery, and forgives the countless wrongs that life may throw at us.

Yes, loving children of God, the gigantic form of Lord Jagannath – carved from wood and painted with a blackish face beaming with a broad smile and saucer-like eyes – accompanied by his brother Lord Baladeva and his sister Subadra, will mount the chariot that will be pulled down Murchison Street. Come one, come all – irrespective of race, colour or religion. Join in this celebration to receive the blessings and mercy of Lord Jagannath.

The Lordships will arrive at 10am on March 25 at the corner of Murchison Street and Alfred Street. Be there to receive them.

The procession commences at 11am, proceeding down Murchison Street and ending at Princess Street. Thereafter, everyone will be transported by bus to the temple, where lunch will be served.

After lunch, a cultural programme will be performed, concluding with a discourse by His Holiness Bhakti Chaitanya Swami from Russia. Be there on time and don’t miss out! All are welcome.
