Runners go into the Sunset Fun Run

The Sunset Fun Run enthusiasts braved the afternoon chill and took on the five kilometre run that began at Newcastle Corner.

Fitness enthusiasts braved the afternoon chill and took on the Sunset Fun Run on Friday, June 16.

The five kilometre run began at Newcastle Corner, and took entrants onto the D96 and back.

All entrants received a certificate on completion, and the first 100 bagged themselves free McDonald’s hamburgers.

Prizes were awarded to the top 10, and runners also enjoyed free refreshments courtesy of Superspar and Thirsti water.

Factory Plaza gave supporters the opportunity to have their photo taken with its mascot, Chipmunk.
