Tech and gadgets iconic to the 21st century: TECH TUESDAY
Tech and gadgets are progressing at a rapid rate, yet these will always be special for their relevance to the 21st Century.
We’re living in a fresh new age of tech.
Compared to even 50 years ago, humanity has moved ahead in leaps and bounds.
At this rate, one can hardly imagine where we’ll be a decade from now.
And as this progression occurs, tech streamlines how we function and accomplish the simplest chores.
Since 2000, many gadgets and tech have earned a place in history.
Here is our pick of five of the most influential:
Nintendo Wii
Simply put, the Wii changed the way people and games interacted.
From static consoles, players were suddenly given interactivity not seen for decades.
The Wii also breathed new life into Nintendo, without which we might have never seen the Switch.
USB flash drive
So-called thumb drives changed the way we handled data.
Can you imagine a life without plugging in a dongle or flash disk in and getting to work?
Camera phones
In today’s reaction-driven world, likes and favourites are chief.
Digital camera phones altered the way generations viewed the world.
Now this technology is found in almost all phones on the market.
Without it, no Instagram or quick uploads to Facebook – scary.
4G
Mobile communication took a leap in the 21st century, thanks to 4G.
As fourth generation technology, 4G improved on its predecessor and gave rise to better, faster connectivity.
Autonomous car
Driving without the driver means the future is truly now.
Although true autonomy is still a dream, we have the next best thing.
Cars can now drive themselves although a human driver is still required behind the wheel.
