Raksha Bandhan to be celebrated soon in Ladysmith
This year, Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated on August 7
The Young Hindu Cultural Service Society (YHCSS) will be hosting its annual Raksha Bandhan Unity Festival on Saturday, August 5, at the YHCSS Hall in Kandahar Avenue, starting at 5.30pm.
Tickets are available from the lovely debutantes.
This year, Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated on August 7.
It is during the month of Shravana when this auspicious festival of Raksha Bandhan is celebrated.
The festival commemorates the bond that brothers and sisters share. According to Hindu mythology, it is during Purnima day (full moon day) in the month of Shravana when the festival is observed.
