#MotivationMonday: Five simple exercises you can do at work

Don't have time to hit the gym? Start your day with these quick five-minute exercises, which you can do at work.

Exercise is a vital part of keeping the mind, body and soul healthy.

However, we do not always get the time to hit the gym, therefore most of us become lazy.

Try these five, quick and easy exercise routines you can do while at work:

Calf Raises:

exercise

We all want to have a beautiful set of calves.

Stand behind a chair, with your feet shoulder-width apart.

Raise yourself up onto your toes and hold for a three count and return your heels to the floor.

Repeat this 12 to 15 times a day.

Knee lifts:

Exercise

Get those perfect abs while remaining seated at your desk! Sit up straight in your chair with your shoulders back and your hands on the armrests. Stretch your legs out in front of you, and with your ankles together, slowly lift your knees toward your chest, then lower them back down.

Repeat this about 12 times per day.

The Butt Buster:

exercise

Again, this is an exercise you can do while sitting behind your desk.

All this entails is tightening the butt cheeks for a few seconds and then releasing.

Repeat 12 to 15 times per session.

Walk the talk:

exercise

Instead of sitting at your desk when answering your phone, try to walk around.

Nothing burns calories and fat like a good walk-a-bout.

The Stair Master:

Okay, so we all try and avoid the staircase and head straight for the elevator right?

Don’t! Master the staircase and see how it shapes your calves, legs, and butt, and helps burn off the fat.

There you have it; being fit doesn’t have to consume hours of your day.

With sheer determination, a few minutes a day is all you need to get your body ready for summer beach wear.
