Newcastle enjoys some beer, brandy, braai and Bokke (GALLERY)

Rugby supporters gathered at The Pine Wedding and Conference Village on Saturday for the Beer, Brandy and Bokke Festival.

Their purpose was to show their support  for the Springboks who were to play the All Blacks in the final of the 2018 Rugby Championship.

A mechanical bull to entertain adults, with a jumping castle for the children had been set up while a local band provided a musical background.

A 5m by 3m electrical big screen TV was also set up to receive the match broadcast, and a nail-biting match it proved to be.

Rugby supporters gathered at The Pines Wedding and Conference Village on Saturday, October 6.

Co-organiser of the event, Johan Pieters of Champ Marketing agreed the festival was a resounding success, and said plans were already in place to host another awesome event in 2019.
