Spiritual master and practitioner of world peace Brahmarishi Mohanji will be visiting Ladysmith during his visit to South Africa in November this year.
He is the founder of the Mohanji Foundation, which is a worldwide foundation that has active centres in 17 different countries that brings together like-minded people to create a peaceful community.
The core teachings of the foundation are based on the pillars of faith and purity. And all centres worldwide welcome everyone, regardless of their cultural or religious background.
The spiritual practices include guided meditation, which is aimed at inner purification, forgiveness and unconditional love towards all beings.
The meditations include The Power of Purity, 360 Degree Meditation, Blossoms of Love, Bliss of Silence and Freedom Meditation, each of which is specially created to aid the practitioner to lead a life of inner peace and flow with the happenings of daily life.
Mohanji’s meditations primarily guide a person to forgiveness, gratitude and a harmonious life, contributing to peace within the practitioner, his environment and society as a whole.
Apart from guided meditations, Mohanji also teaches Conscious Walking, which is a 30-minute meditative walk that helps to still the mind while using breathing techniques that increase good health and well-being. Other practices include: Consciousness Kriya, Yoga Nidra, Mai-Tri Healing, and Yoga.
In South Africa, the Mohanji Foundation has centres in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Knysna, Stanger, Newcastle and Ladysmith. The Mohanji Ladysmith Centre opened in 2016 after Mohanji’s previous visit to the country in May that year. The centre actively has meditations on a weekly basis for the purpose of spiritual upliftment, guidance and inner peace.
People who have been actively experiencing these meditations have found deep transformation, peace and happiness within. The centre openly welcomes spiritual seekers to join in the weekly meditations.
Mohanji teaches and practices a vegan-based lifestyle (no meat of any kind, fish, eggs and non-dairy or any products from animal origin) for the purpose of promoting a lifestyle of non-violence and non-exploitation of animals.
Brahmarishi Mohanji is also the founder of the Act Foundation, which is a global charity community that operates in a growing number of countries around the world.
The charity was formed in India in 2003. The purpose of this foundation is based on aspirations to serve humanity, help the helpless, give dignity to the poor, be kind and compassionate, and give opportunities to the less fortunate.
Mohanji is also part of the Peace Pledge Project, a global project that encompasses leaders from all around the world to promote world peace by the means of loving-kindness and compassion in daily practice.
It is truly an honour for such a master to set foot on the soil of Ladysmith.
