Celebrate I love to write day with an essay

Are you an avid writer?

Do you have a way with words? Or do you enjoy putting pen to paper from time to time.

”I love to write day”, celebrated on every year on November 15, aims to get people to sit down and put something on paper or on a computer, however short and in whatever style, kick-starting their writing and giving them confidence by being part of a global movement.

Do you love to write?
If you’re between the ages of 8 and 16 and have a flair for writing, we want you to write us an essay. The essay must not be longer than 200 words.

You can pick one of the following topics:

I love my town because….

I turned around and saw….

I heard a scream but no one was there….

The top three entries will be published.

Entries can be emailed to byronp@dbn.caxton.co.za or dropped off at our offices at 28 Beaconsfield Street, Dundee, 3000.Please note the deadline: Midday next Thursday, November 22.
