A young man from Tumahole was arrested by the police yesterday afternoon following an incident where human feces was thrown on the chairs and floor of the customer service area of the Ngwathe Local municipality’s offices in Parys.

The man was arrested shortly after the incident on a charge of damaging property.

The customer service area will be closed today for cleaning and disinfection.

At the time of print the municipality did not issue a statement on the incident.
