Parys chess players on the winning path.

Local chess players made their move at the KK Curro Tournament in Klerksdorp on February 7. Armand Vlok, Urban Swart, and Danny Botes were part of the 51 players entered for the C-division. Armand was the winner of the division, winning all five of his games, while Danny and Urban won four and three out of five games, respectively.

In the B-divison, Willem Erasmus managed to win three of the five games played.

In the A-division, Tapiwa Chakwavaira ended up winning four of his five games. He lost in the final round against Mango Banele.

A total of 190 players were entered for the tournament.
