The construction of the new development is expected to commence soon and will act as a major economic catalyst in Ngwathe, creating jobs directly through construction and hotel operations, and indirectly by boosting local supply chains and tourism related businesses.

The Vaal de Grace Golf Estate hotel project will bring outside monetary benefits into the local communities supporting jobs in accommodation, retail, transport, dining, and many more industries, the municipality said in a statement, adding that it is essential to note that midscale and economy hotels such as this planned new development, often provide the highest local employment impact.

The Executive Mayor welcomed the new hotel project and acknowledged the key role played by the municipal administration in unlocking this development opportunity, those already implemented and others in the pipeline. In addition, the Mayor emphasised how important this development will be for LED and job creation for unemployed Ngwathe residents.
