The IEC is recruiting Electoral Staff, including Presiding Officers, Deputy Presiding Officers and Electoral Officers. Applications close on August 31.

Applicants are also reminded to stay alert to scams. Only apply through official IEC channels.

Be aware of scammers

Always be cautious of fraudulent job adverts and individals pretending to recruit on behalf of the IEC.

The IEC said scammers often contact members of the public through WhatsApp, SMS, Facebook, social media direct messages or unsolicited calls, offering jobs in exchange for money or your personal and banking information.

• The IEC does not charge a fee to apply for a job
• The IEC will never ask for your banking PIN or passwords
• Be cautious of anyone promising you a job in exchange for payment.
• Always verify vacancies through the Official IEC Careers Protal and submit your aplication through the approved platform.
