Parys gymnasts excells at i-Africa National Club Competition

Congratulations to all who participated and their coaches.

With an outstanding performance at the I-Africa National Club Competition, 19 local gymnasts and their coaches, Star Mapeka and Thato Machobane of Parys 20 Four 7 Trampoline Club, received a total of 49 medals. This included 24 gold medals, 12 silver and 13 bronze medals.

The gymnasts competed in 5 events being Black-top trampoline, Mini-Trampoline, Euro trampoline, Double-mini trampoline and Tumbling.There was almost one thousand gymnasts who competed at this prestigious competition, held at Matsport Centre in Centurion.

Four of Parys 20 Four 7’s gymnasts that competed also received their Free State provincial colours, and competed in their highest qualifying leotard. They were Chené Dames, Denine Koen, Mielandri van Niekerk and Eckhardt van Niekerk.This was a very successful competition to end the year off. We are proud of every gymnast’ outstanding performanc, says club owner Charmain van Niekerk. The following gymnasts all competed and received the following medals.
