Body in burned car a mystery

The Fochville police are searching for clues that might shed more light on an unusual case in the area this week.

According to the Gauteng SAPS spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo, a passing motorist notified the police of a burnt out car at a service road to Deelkraal next to the N12 on Monday afternoon.
When they arrived at the scene, they found a VW Polo sedan in ashes.
“Upon closer inspection, they found a body burnt beyond recognition in the back seat,” says Masondo. “A murder case has since been opened. The police appeal to anyone with information that could assist in the investigation to call the nearest police station or crime stop at 08600 10111. Informers may remain anonymous,” he added.

The car was found next to a service road.
