A boy, believed to be three years old, sustained minor injuries yesterday when he fell 4 metres off a balcony at a flat on Klein Street in Johannesburg CBD.

A boy, believed to be three years old, sustained minor injuries yesterday when he fell 4 metres off a balcony at a flat on Klein Street in Johannesburg CBD.

ER24 paramedics, along with City of Johannesburg EMS, arrived on the scene and were lead into the courtyard where they found the young patient, held by his mother.

Upon assessment, paramedics found that the child was fortunate in having sustained only minor injuries.

The patient was treated by ER24 and EMS and thereafter transported by another service to Johannesburg General Hospital for further treatment.

It is believed that the child was playing on the balcony when he fell.

Local authorities will be investigating this further.
